The measure
Proposition 144, referred by the Legislature as HCR 2001 and designated the Fast, Accurate, Secure and Transparent Election Results Act, is the election-procedure amendment Arizonans decide on November 3, 2026.
Four provisions, four questions to ask
Judge each provision on its own merits:
- On-site tabulation option, does letting voters have ballots counted at the location reduce delay without reducing access?
- Uniform proof of identity, is one standard for every ballot fairer than different standards for in-person and mail?
- Citizens-only voting, does writing this into the constitution add meaningful protection over existing law?
- Foreign money ban, does Arizona need a state-level rule where federal law does not clearly reach?
